The CLTH EGFR WT / EGFRvIII cell line arose from a stable cell line that was transfected with a plasmid encoding the EGFRvIII receptor. These cells express both the wild-type EGFR gene and the EGFRvIII gene, as confirmed by Western blotting. The CLTH EGFR / EGFRvIII cell line also possesses puromycin and G418 resistance genes.
