Research and development staff
The interdisciplinary research team of the Cether Polska Research and Development Laboratory consists of specialists in the field of biotechnology, cell and molecular biology, genetic engineering, bioinformatics, and doctoral students.
Our employees gained their knowledge and experience, among others at the Medical University of Łódź, the University of Łódź, the Łódź University of Technology and the Silesian University of Technology, as well as during several years of internships in the United States, Japan, Great Britain and Ireland.
The team consists of: one person with the title of professor, three people with a doctoral degree, including a habilitated doctor. The remaining members hold a master’s degree.
Celther Polska research and development laboratory is open to cooperation with students. Every year, several students take internships with us, mainly in the field of Biotechnology and related. We also enable the development of PhD students who successively join our ranks.
Prof. dr hab. n. med. Piotr Rieske
Head of the Research and Development Laboratory. He studied at the Department of Medical Analytics, Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical Academy in Łódź. He received his PhD in medical sciences in 1998. In the years 1999-2005 he was on internships in the United States (Thomas Jefferson University, Hahnemann University Hospital, Temple University). In 2006 he was awarded the degree of habilitated doctor. Since 2012, he has been the Head of the Department of Tumor Biology, Medical University of Lod In 2013, he received the title of professor.
As a co-founder of Celther Polska (since 2009), as well as the Head of the Research and Development Laboratory, he successfully completed and accounted for four research and development projects co-financed by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, which ended in implementation.
In 2020, DibuCell Active medical devices developed as part of one of the projects were reimbursed by the National Health Fund. Other projects managed by prof. Rieske ended with the introduction of several dozen biotechnological products to the sales and service market.
Dr hab. n. med. Ewelina Stoczyńska - Fidelus
Head of research and development projects and the Deputy Head of the Research and Development Laboratory. She studied Biology with a specialization in Genetics at the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection of the University of Lodz. During her studies, she completed an internship at Temple University (USA). She defended her master’s thesis in 2009 at the Department of Molecular Genetics at the University of Lodz. In 2012, she obtained a doctorate in medical sciences (Medical University of Lodz, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Oncology, Department of Molecular Pathology and Neuropathology, Specialty: Medical Biology), and in 2018, a postdoctoral degree (Medical Biology). From 2020, dr hab. n. med. Ewelina Stoczyńska-Fidelus is the Head of the Department of Molecular Biology, Department of Medical Biology, Medical University of Lodz.
As Head of research and development projects and the Deputy Manager of the Research and Development Laboratory Celther Polska, successfully implemented, both as a manager and contractor, four research and development projects co-financed by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, which ended with implementation.
